About

The BougeRV Yuma 100W CIGS Flexible Solar Panel (Rectangle with Adhesive) uses Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) thin-film solar cell technology, designed to flex and adjust to a variety of surfaces while offering enhanced durability, light sensitivity, and lifespan compared to conventional panels.

This listing is sold in multi-packs of the 100W CIGS panel (Long/Rectangle with Adhesive): 4 panels (400W), 6 panels (600W), 8 panels (800W), or 10 panels (1000W), and can be installed permanently or used as a portable energy solution.

Features

The panel is designed to fit various roof shapes, conforming to the surface for better aerodynamics and a sleek appearance. It is incredibly flexible and can be rolled up for compact storage and transportation, and bent to fit curved surfaces without cracking. It is lightweight and thin, requiring no additional mounting or aluminum frames, which improves aerodynamics and appearance. Its CIGS cells are the most flexible class and will never crack, unlike monocrystalline cells, which are virtually inflexible and prone to cracking.

The panel is proven to perform better than conventional monocrystalline panels in shaded conditions, producing 38% more power over the course of an 8-hour cloudy day. It is highly durable, able to withstand impacts during installation and transport, and will still function even if partially damaged. A pre-assembled adhesive backing eliminates the need for brackets and drilling, allowing tool-free installation.

The panel is versatile enough to install on a wide range of surfaces, including RVs, trucks, boats, tents, and roofs, and its lightweight design also allows it to be rolled up and carried as a portable solar panel.

FAQs

What is the maximum curvature radius that the panel can handle?
The Yuma 100 Watt CIGS Flexible Solar Panel (Rectangle with Adhesive) can be bent to a maximum diameter of 9.4 inches.

What is the width of the borders on the sides of the panel?
The panel has a margin of about 1mm on both sides.

What is the maximum number of CIGS solar panels that can be connected together?
You can connect multiple panels depending on your power needs.

Is the adhesive strong enough to mount the panel on top of a camper/van and withstand highway speeds, or does it require mechanical mounting?
Our CIGS solar panels do not require any mechanical installation. The adhesive on the back of the panel is strong enough to withstand highway speeds.

I see photos of the solar panel on a curved surface. How is it attached to the surface?
The solar panel is attached with adhesive and can be flexibly applied to any surface.

Will a 100w flexible solar panel run a fridge?
Yes, a 100w flexible solar panel can run a fridge, but it depends on the size and power consumption of the fridge. For example, it can effectively power 12-volt camping refrigerators through a charged battery, but it may not be enough to run a larger fridge that requires 500-1000 watts per hour.

Are 100 watt flexible solar panels worth it?
Yes, 100 watt flexible solar panels are worth it. They are lightweight and easy to install, making them ideal for portable applications such as camping, RVs, and boats. If you need a solar panel that can be easily transported and installed, a flexible panel may be worth the investment.

How much power can a 100 watt flex solar panel produce in a day?
The amount of power a 100 watt flex solar panel can produce in a day depends on various factors such as the location, weather conditions, and the angle and orientation of the panel towards the sun. On average, a 100 watt flex solar panel can produce around 400-500 watt-hours (Wh) of energy per day.
